Celebrating Finnish Culture at Suomi-Koti - A little piece of Finland, right here in Toronto. Finnish culture is woven into daily life at Suomi-Koti—through language, traditions, food, music, and warm community connections. Whether it’s the scent of fresh pulla (cardamom bread), a familiar melody during a singalong, or a shared laugh in the sauna, the spirit of Finland is always close by.

As part of our commitment to cultural care and community, we’re proud to partner with local Finnish and Estonian vendors and artisans who bring traditional flavours and products right to our door. These regular visits and special deliveries keep our residents connected to the tastes, textures, and comforts of home.

A baker comes weekly to Suomi-Koti, bringing with them pulla (Finnish coffee bread), korvapuusti (cinnamon rolls) and other delicious treats. Residents can order in advance and enjoy these Finnish favourites all-week long!

Musical concerts are another part of life at Suomi-Koti. From professional pianists to guitarists, folk and opera singers to children’s choirs, there is often the opportunity to be treated to beautiful sounds.

Outings to a variety of local Toronto and Ontario spots are planned regularly - in recent years, Suomi-Koti residents have been cruising the Toronto Harbour, visiting Stratford, Roy Thomson Hall and more. Residents have the opportunity to explore the city with their Suomi-Koti friends.
